Revision of Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees Effective from January 2026

The Ministry of Finance has announced an increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees. The rate of DA has been enhanced from 58% to 60% of the Basic Pay. This revision is effective retrospectively from 1st January 2026. The order applies to civilian employees paid from Defence Services Estimates and is issued in consultation with the C&AG for Indian Audit and Accounts Department personnel.
