• Oil India Limited has discovered natural gas in the unapprised Matsyapuri formation within the Krishna-Godavari Basin.
• The discovery was made in the shallow offshore block KG-DSF/GSKW/2018 via the Godavari-1 appraisal well.
• Production testing, which began on 16th October 2026, yielded a flow rate of 1 Lakh SCUMD, peaking at 2 Lakh SCUMD, along with 170 bopd of condensate and associated water.
• The discovery was made in the shallow offshore block KG-DSF/GSKW/2018 via the Godavari-1 appraisal well.
