The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has issued an order regarding the determination of ad-hoc tariffs for cargo handling services at Bhogapuram International Airport. The services are to be provided by GMR Airports Limited (GAL) until March 31, 2027, or until regular tariffs are determined, whichever is earlier. The proposal follows the development of an integrated cargo terminal under a DBFOT basis. AERA has requested additional documentation, including security clearance from BCAS and customs department approval, to process the tariff request. The commercial operations at the airport are expected to commence in July 2026.
