Revision of Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees effective from July 2025

The Ministry of Finance has issued an order increasing the Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees from 55% to 58% of the basic pay. This revision is effective from July 1, 2025. The order specifies that the DA will not be treated as pay for the purposes of FR 9(21). Fractions of 50 paise or more are to be rounded off to the next higher rupee, while amounts less than 50 paise are to be ignored. Separate orders will be issued by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Railways for their respective personnel.
