The Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) has issued a notification appointing 17 officers from the State Civil Service of Gujarat to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) against vacancies for the Select List of 2025. These appointments are made under the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955. The appointments are subject to the final outcome of several ongoing cases filed before the Hon'ble High Court of Gujarat. The Chief Secretary of the Government of Gujarat has been requested to facilitate the fixation of seniority for these officers.
