Change in the Date of Holiday on Account of Muharram for Central Government Offices

The Department of Personnel and Training has issued a notification regarding the change in the date of the Muharram holiday for Central Government offices in Delhi. Based on the announcement by the Ruiyat Hilal Committee, the holiday will now be observed on August 20, 2021, instead of August 19, 2021. For offices located outside of Delhi, the holiday date will be decided by the respective State Governments or the Central Government Employees Coordination Committee. This order applies to all Central government administrative offices.
