Closure of Government Offices and Buildings for Independence Day 2016 At Home Function

The Department of Personnel and Training issued an order for the closure of various government buildings in New Delhi on August 15, 2016. This measure was taken to facilitate mandatory anti-sabotage checks prior to the Independence Day 'At Home' function at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Offices were required to be vacated and sealed by 0900 hours on that day. A list of 31 specific buildings affected by this closure was provided in the annexure.
