The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has launched a short-term internship programme for law undergraduates to analyze RTI applications in public authorities. Ministries and departments are requested to facilitate these interns in reviewing a sample of RTI applications received over the past year. The initiative aims to document experiences, successes, and constraints in the implementation of the RTI Act. DoPT will bear the conveyance allowance for the interns. Participating ministries are required to provide details of their nodal officers to coordinate with DoPT.
