The Central Government has nominated Dr. Abhijit Phukon, Economic Advisor, Department of Financial Services, as a Director on the Board of Directors of the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC). This appointment is made in exercise of the powers conferred by the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation Act, 1961. Dr. Phukon replaces Shri Pankaj Sharma. The appointment is effective immediately and remains in force until further orders.
