The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Rajesh Ranjan, IPS (BH:84) as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Delhi. The appointment is under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The officer is granted an initial tenure of three years, which is extendable by two years with the prior approval of the Central Vigilance Commission. He has the option to draw pay in the scale of Joint Secretary plus deputation allowance or the pay of the post.
