The Ministry of Finance has issued an office memorandum announcing an increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central Government employees. The rate of DA has been enhanced from 58% to 60% of the Basic Pay. This revision is effective retrospectively from 1st January 2026. The order also applies to civilian employees paid from Defence Services Estimates, with separate orders to be issued for Armed Forces and Railway personnel.
