The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has directed all States and Union Territories to facilitate the enrollment of government and private hospitals, medical colleges, and clinical establishments into the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) and Materiovigilance Programme of India (MvPI). These programmes aim to monitor adverse reactions to drugs and medical devices to improve patient safety. The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) provides technical support and training to enrolled centers. States are requested to issue necessary directions to ensure active participation in these national safety initiatives. Letters of intent for enrollment are available on the official IPC website.
