The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the promotion of Shri Sreejith T, a 2012 batch IPS officer, to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA). This promotion is facilitated by temporarily upgrading one SP post to the DIG level. The appointment is effective from the date of assumption of charge until September 1, 2026, or until a clear vacancy arises, whichever is earlier. The officer is currently serving in the NIA.
