The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms. Rashmita Jha, IRS (IT:1997), as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC), Delhi. The appointment is under the Ministry of Power for an initial period of three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The officer will be placed at level 14 of the pay matrix. The Department of Revenue has been requested to relieve the officer for this assignment, subject to clearance from the Election Commission of India if she is currently on election-related duty.
