The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued the Eighth Amendment to the Telecommunication Mobile Number Portability Regulations, 2009. These regulations introduce changes to the definition of porting requests and clarify the liability of Recipient Operators regarding Per Port Transaction charges and Quality of Service parameters. The amendments also include minor textual adjustments to regulation 11 of the principal regulations. These new provisions are set to come into force on 11th November 2019.
