ACC approval for inter-cadre deputation of IAS officers from Punjab to AGMUT cadre

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Shri Ajoy Kumar Sinha (IAS:1996) and Shri Harish Nayar (IAS:2010) from the Punjab cadre to the AGMUT cadre. The circular notes that proposals for deputation to Chandigarh Administration may now be processed directly by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, bypassing the previous committee structure. Additionally, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has been directed to examine the feasibility of encadring these posts within the Punjab and Haryana cadres.
