The Directorate of Education, GNCT of Delhi, has issued an order designating the Deputy Director of Education (DDE) of each district as the nodal officer for matters concerning the admission of children with disabilities. This directive is in compliance with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016. These nodal officers are responsible for ensuring that facilities are provided to students with disabilities in schools as per sections 16 and 31 of the Act. The order was issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
