The Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Shri Manoj Kumar Maurya, IOFS (2001), as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) for the Geological Survey of India (GSI) in Kolkata. This appointment is under the Ministry of Mines and is for an initial period of three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The Ministry of Mines has been requested to facilitate the officer's transition to this new assignment.
