The Indian Nursing Council has introduced the Nurses Registration and Tracking System (NRTS) to standardize the collection and maintenance of data for registered nursing personnel across India. This web-based system, developed with the National Informatics Centre, utilizes Aadhaar-based biometric authentication to create a unified Live Nurses Register. All State Nurses Registration Councils (SNRCs) are required to adopt this system for registration, renewal, and authentication processes. The Council emphasizes that this system does not alter the existing powers or functions of the SNRCs. Detailed guidelines have been provided to ensure a uniform registration process nationwide.
