The Department of Personnel and Training has declared a half-day holiday for all Central Government offices and CPSUs on the afternoon of 17th August 2018. This decision was taken to allow employees to pay homage to the former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, whose state funeral was held on that day. All Ministries and Departments are directed to inform their staff accordingly.
