The Department of Personnel and Training has issued an office memorandum to reschedule the holiday for Milad-Un-Nabi or Id-E-Milad in 2016. The holiday for Central Government administrative offices in Delhi/New Delhi has been shifted from December 13, 2016, to December 12, 2016. For offices located outside of Delhi, the decision regarding the holiday date is left to the discretion of the respective Employees Coordination Committees or Heads of Offices, based on state government notifications. This change applies specifically to the year 2016.
