The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Rakesh Kumar, IDAS(90), as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in Hindustan Copper Limited, Kolkata. The appointment is under the Ministry of Mines for an initial tenure of three years. He has the option to draw pay in the pay scale of Joint Secretary plus deputation allowance or the pay of the post. The tenure is extendable by another two years in the same CPSE or up to three years by shifting to another CPSE upon completion of the initial term, subject to CVC approval.
