The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Shri Ved Prakash, an Indian Trade Service officer of the 1986 batch, as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at the National Hydro Power Corporation Limited (NHPC). The appointment is for an initial deputation tenure of three years, extendable up to a total of five years or until his superannuation on 31.08.2019. The officer is entitled to draw pay in the scale of Joint Secretary plus deputation allowance or the pay of the post. This order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
