The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has constituted a Task Force to review and recommend measures for the effective implementation of Section 4 of the RTI Act, 2005. The Task Force includes representatives from various government ministries, state governments, and non-governmental organizations. Its mandate includes recommending guidelines for suo motu disclosures, prescribing templates for information disclosure, and suggesting measures for the protection of RTI applicants. The Task Force is required to submit its final recommendations by July 31, 2011. Public comments on the constitution and minutes of the Task Force meeting were invited by June 12, 2011.
