The Account Aggregator (AA) framework is an RBI-led initiative that formalizes data intermediaries to facilitate secure, consent-based sharing of financial information between providers and users. AAs act as data-blind conduits, ensuring users maintain full control over their financial data, including the scope, duration, and purpose of sharing. The ecosystem integrates entities regulated by RBI, IRDA, PFRDA, SEBI, and now GSTN. State Bank of India (SBI) has been live on this ecosystem since July 30, 2022. Currently, SBI has onboarded five Account Aggregators: NADL, CAMS, FinVu, OneMoney, and Anumati.
