The Directorate of Education has issued an addendum clarifying the service experience requirements for Principals and Vice Principals applying for the Shikshak Mahakumbh State Teachers Awards 2026. Applicants must possess at least 7 years of continuous regular service in recognized institutions. Within this period, a minimum of 3 years of combined experience as a Principal and/or Vice Principal is mandatory. The experience as Principal and Vice Principal can be clubbed together to meet the 3-year requirement. All District Deputy Directors are instructed to ensure this clarification is applied during the scrutiny of applications.
