The Employees Provident Fund Organisation has issued a circular regarding the change in the holiday date for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) in 2026. Based on a DoP&T memorandum, the holiday for Central Government administrative offices in Delhi/New Delhi has been shifted from May 27, 2026, to May 28, 2026. For offices located outside Delhi/New Delhi, the decision regarding the holiday date is to be made by the concerned State Government or the respective Head of Offices. This change is subject to the sighting of the moon. All relevant departments are advised to take necessary action accordingly.
